The symptoms of PTSD can be quite debilitating, interfering with many aspects of a person's life. One area of a person's life that can be greatly affected by PTSD symptoms is work. Work is a situation that can rarely be avoided. Therefore, it is important for the person with PTSD to learn healthy ways of coping with their PTSD symptoms while on the job.

Breathing

Meditation, I agree. Finding a way to focus on your breathing and not think about *anything*, anything at all, is tremendously beneficial. It disrupts the obsessive stream of anxiety-linked thoughts and leaves calm in its wake. Meditation, with focus on breathing!

10 minutes of mindfulness meditation

I have an app on my iPhone of guided mindfulness meditation. It can be set for any amount of time up to an hour, but at work, when overwhelmed and needing to decompress between clients a quick 10 minutes of this does wonders!!!
