Definition:

Obesity is a term used to describe a body mass index (BMI) that greatly exceeds the normal, healthy range. Basically, your BMI is a number that describes the relationship between your weight and height. Specifically, your BMI equals your body weight (in kilgrams) divided by your height (in meters squared).

You can calculate your BMI using this calculator. A BMI of more than 25 is considered overweight and over 30 is considered obese.

It has been found that obesity is related to a number of physical health problems, as well as mental health disorders, including PTSD.
