Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy or CBT

Definition: CBT or Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy refers to any treatment based on the idea that psychological problems arise as a result of the way in which people interpret or evaluate situations, thoughts, and feelings, as well as our the behaviors stem from these evaluations. Cognitive-behavioral therapy has been found to be effective in treating a number of psychological conditions such as the anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, and problems with alcohol and drug use.
