Seeking Information on PTSD?

Saturday October 10, 2009

It may be hard to find good and accurate information on PTSD. The American Psychological Association has an entire section devoted to information on PTSD, including current research, treatment options, and books. You can check out this website here. For additional resources on PTSD, look at the Resources section on this website, or look through this article which describes some popular websites on PTSD that provide accurate, useful, and up-to-date information.

(1) Judith says:

I tried EMDR but the sessions were too intense and ended up confused when I left and often had trouble just finding my way home after living in Boulder for 28 yrs. Once I had to call a taxi to take me home.

(2) Colette says:

My ex-husband returned from Iraq a mess in 2003. He drank heavily and became abusive toward me and my sons. The USMC keeps sending him back to Iraq (he is a reservist on his third voluntary tout). The USMC knows about the abuse (they took my sons’ statements and my statement) and yet they do nothing. In fact, the promoted him last year to Colonel! USMC officers condone domestic violence and do not care about mental illness.
