9/11 and Heart Disease Risk

A recent article from Reuters describes a study that found that people who experienced extreme stress as a result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks were at greater risk for cardiovascular problems three years later. This was especially the case for people who continued to worry about future terrorist attacks after 9/11. This finding is consistent with evidence that people with PTSD may be at greater risk for a number of physical health problems. You can learn more about their interesting findings here.
